Newly Minted Millionaire Wins Seven-Figure 'Powerball' Prize Without Leaving Virginia Home

Instead, she will have to settle for a mere $1 million.

The Vienna woman matched all five Powerball numbers earlier this year, missing only the Powerball for the drawing on Monday, Sept. 16.

Abiles matched the first five winning numbers: 08-09-11-27-31, but missed the Powerball of 17.

According to Lottery officials, the lucky winner won the seven-figure prize without even having to leave her Vienna home, purchasing the ticket online 

Powerball drawings are held at 10:59 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. 

The odds of matching all six numbers to win the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million. The overall odds of winning any Powerball prize are 1 in 25.
